CONNECTION BETWEEN BODY & MIND
You've probably heard about the body-mind connection. What it says is this: you become what you think and feel. This phenomena is what explains why, for example, thinking about a muscle while exercising it, trains it better. On a grander scale, this is the reason that convincing yourself of something (say your own inability to find love for instance) causes it to occur. The good news is, you can change the way you think, and change your life!
It may surprise you to learn that the body-mind connection is not some "new-fangled" thinking, but rather finds its roots in the ancient science of Ayurveda. Ayurvedic principles dictate that the source of every disease is in the mind. In other words, whatever happens to your body is a direct reflection of what's going on in your head. For instance, depression drains the body while joy breathes life into it. Likewise, when you're motivated you feel energetic, but when you're not, lethargy sets in. According to Ayurvedic reasoning, if your mind is congested, you'll be constipated. And if you're unable to process your emotions you'll experience digestive issues.
The body-mind connection means you can change the way you feel - about yourself and the world around you! Isn't that good news?
